The activity ended up a great help, with which, ProCosplay is directed and our whole team are encouraged to provide better service. We would love to share a few customer reviews with you guys.

@Jessica Lancaster

So far the only cosplay I've purchased from Procosplay is my traveling Anna. I'm always a little skeptical when buying from cosplay sites, especially ones I've never tried before but I took a chance and needless to say I was very impressed. First, it came quicker than I expected, which was nice cause I really needed it for an upcoming event. Second, the quality was very impressive. The bodice have a nice gold trim, which I love, and the design is embroidered, not printed, which is much nicer and looks beautiful! The skirt is also a very nice color and the material isn't super heavy, which worked better for me since I use it for parties. It also came with the cloak and gloves (not pictured) but both of those here also amazing quality as well! I was really impressed with the details on the cloaks, it really completed the look. I ordered a women's medium, going off the size chart and everything fit pretty well, my only issue was the undershirt was a little tight, so I had to replace it with one from Angel Secret, to fit my performer better, other than that everything else was great I would 100% buy from them again in the future!

@Coco Delon

I bought my Weiss Schnee Cosplay from ProCosplay. It was my first time ordering there and i guess it won't be the last time since i'm super happy with the outfit and boots. I always order cosplays custom made to make sure that they will and i'm really glad that this was possible for this particular product. Also the quality is really good for the price and i love all the small accurate details that are there. I didn't need to modify a thing.
Also there was no trouble with communication or shipping and i seriously would recommend the shop to my friends.

@Fred Go

Procosplay has the highest quality outfits out there. The fit is fantastic and I can’t wait to get more items from them, particularly Mjolnir, Cap’s shield, and helmet! Also, you know the quality is fantastic when Hulk himself, Mark Ruffalo, says I look awesome! Is this 50 words? Lol

@Jason Nieves

Let me begin with this is the second time I've ordered a suit from Procosplay, and both times I've been extremely pleased with the quality of their service, as well as the quality of their product. Both times I've requested my order by a certain date and received it by, if not before that date. Also, my interactions with their customer service, if and when necessary, have been nothing but courteous and expedient. Now on to the Ronin suit itself. I'm very happy with how this suit turned out. I'm always a little worried when using custom sizing to order a cosplay online, but everything from the boots to the pants to the vest/jacket, fit perfectly. I feel like I got a lot for the price, including the boots and belt. And the quality of the suit, from the material it's made out of, to the stitching is great, durable and comfortable. And it's pretty accurate to the costume worn by Jeremy Renner onscreen in Avengers: Endgame, and looks great when photograped as well. Overall this Ronin costume was a great purchase and I would highly recommend it.

@MissSara Cosplay

@SarasBizarreAdventure

I got this WONDERFUL cosplay from you and I am totally glad! How it is made and how perfectly fits me ♡ I really love it. I didn't have the opportunity to wear it at a con yet but I would surely and proudly will ♡ Also, the Tiara is stunning I did not expect such quality. As well as the heart brooch in the center ♡

@Todd Slingerland

I love my Deadpool suit as alot of you know I wear it all the time. Everyone at all the events i go too love it. I always take hundreds pics with people taking selfies and pic videos. This is the second Deadpool suit I got from them. Even all the my Deadpool tik toks I get tons and people loving the suit. I always tell them where I got. I have my daughter's deku suit coming soon she is super excited for. This company has been very fun and easy to work with always pleasure dealing with them. Thank you guys for all you do.

@Andrea Angstadt

The first costume I bought from Procosplay was Captain Marvel. When I got the package I was completely impressed by the contents inside! It’s a very high quality costume and it fit like a glove! The costume is true to measurements. I was impressed by all the pieces to it-gloves, arm bands, belt, and boots! The arm bands and belt have Velcro closures that can be adjusted for a perfect fit. I was also impressed that the vest was its own separate piece and the star is a heavy duty metal. The only downside is that it is a one piece leather suit which makes it difficult in the summer months as it does get hot. However the top part of the jump suit has a very breathable material and the vest can be removed when you need a break! I work for an entertainment company and have done many big events- such as a Captain Marvel movie night at our minor league stadium. I even wore it to comic con where I met Tom Holland and he was also impressed by it! I receive so many compliments on the costume every time I wear it and even after multiple wears it still holds strong. Not to mention, I feel completely bad a$$ in it! I will continue to buy all my costumes from procosplay! Thank you again!!

@Julie York

I searched and searched for an authentic looking costume. I found my mother of dragon costume from Procosplay. Once it arrived I was wonderfully surprised as to how well made and detailed it was. I got tons of compliments from anyone who was a GOT fan. I have my eye on the Hela costume next.

@Alexa Kay

I have the Hela cosplay & I absolutely LOVE it! It looks great in my photoshoots & the fit is fantastic! All my friends love it. The quality is great! It even came with matching shoes & they fit perfectly! I have Hope's of getting another cosplay from ProCosplay because none of my others compare in quality. The customer service was friendly & kept me updated on my order status! All of their products look so good & I want them all! Haha! I recommend ProCosplay to my friends looking for new suits or people I meet looking to get their first cosplays! Thank you so much for my all time FAVORITE cosplay!

@Marc Lavoie

LOVE my Deadpool V2 costume. I wear it for charity mostly and entertain kids. Of all the cosplays I've done, this one attracts the most attention. The detail and quality of this costume are beyond compare, the customer service I received was exceptional and I HIGHLY recommend this business to anyone looking for an awesome high quality cosplay, these guys are AMAZING and Alice makes sure that you have zero concerns...

@thealchemicfox

Does anyone else absolutely adore the Descendants movies?? I made all my friends watch them with me. The quality is absolutely incredible. Their communication is wonderful and they very obviously care about the quality of their items. I can’t thank them enough for sending me such a beautiful outfit! I’ll for sure be buying more from them in the future. The fit is also great! I ordered from their sizing chart instead of ordering a custom size. The pants are a smudge short for my crazy long legs (do y’all know I’m about 6 feet tall? Do you have a favorite Descendants character? Mine is Carlos and I can’t wait to share those photos with you. Remember that I appreciate you!

Get Sailor Moon Cosplay Idea

Mappy Sanchez, aka SailorMappy, lives in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. She loves everythings related to Japan, be it anime or manga. SailorMappy is a famous cosplayer on DeviantArt, so hang around cause you're gonna want to read these stuff about her.

1. So, tell us something about yourself. And say Hi to your fans :)

Hi everyone! I’m Mappy Sánchez, from Venezuela, I love cosplaying and I hope you like my work, thank you for reading my interview n_n

2. How did you know about and get into Cosplaying?

I’ve loved anime all my life, ever since I can remember I watched Sailor Moon, Ojamajo Doremi, saint Seiya, Evangelion… etc. When I was very young and learned how to use the computer, I started searching for anime online and I came across cosplay, I loved watching pictures of cosplayers and i was really amazed by it. Then, when I was 12 I found out there were more anime fans in my country when I found a forum online, in that same forum I learned there was going to be a con at my city, I didn’t even thought about it and I started making a cosplay for the con.

3. Can you share your first cosplay experience and what character did you portray? How long have you been cosplaying?

The character I chose to cosplay first was Sailor Jupiter, because I’ve always loved Sailor Moon but at the time I didn’t know cosplay wigs existed, I had long brown hair so I thought I could cosplay Jupiter just fine. I was very nervous and I didn’t knOw if there were going to be any more cosplayers at the con. I was very relieved to see them when I walked in, It was really fun and a great experience that I won’t forget, it also surprised me that people wanted to take my picture.

4. How long have you been cosplaying?

I cosplayed for the first time in 2005 but could not do it again until 2010, so I’ve been cosplaying constantly for 3 years now.

5. What makes you want to cosplay?

Love for my favorite characters and series is what motivates me to cosplay, also the character designs that i find beautiful inspires me to make my own real life representation of them.

6. Which character is your favorite one that you've cosplayed so far?

Get Sailor Moon Cosplay Idea

Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon and Asuka Langley Soryu are my favorite characters of all time, so it’s only natural that I love cosplaying them so much!

7. Have you had the experience of a cosplay gone bad, or encoutered some problems while cosplaying? What are those?

I always have problems with each cosplay, i consider myself to be very bad at sewing so every project is a new challenge. Also, in my country is extremely hard to for materials, so we have to get really creative when it’s time to make props and accesories. For example, I had a lot of problems with my Asuka plugsuit, the fabric doesn’t exist in Venezuela so I had to ship it from U.S.A, also i asked for help with some pieces and at the end I hated them, I need to re-make them.

Which aspect of cosplay do you prefer: making garments, creating accessories, crafting props, makeup/prosthetics, etc?

I love making accesories like broochs, earrings and stuff like that, I also like sewing, even though it’s really hard for me, I love selecting the correct fabric and materials. On the other hand, the worst part of cosplay for me are the contact lenses, I hate putting them on.

9. For your Usagi cosplay, what preparations have you done?

Well I’ve done almost everything on my sailor moon cosplays, it was one of my early cosplays, I learned to do a lot of stuff when I made my first sailor fuku and when it was time to make the other ones it was a little easier, I take my time to make them because I want them to be as accurate as it can be, I also changed the wig because the first one wasn’t perfect for me, I always try to make a good job with Usagi because she’s my favorite and I wouldn’t forgive myself if I did a bad cosplay.

10. Are there similarities between you and the characters you've cosplayed?

I’m not exactly like them but we do share some similarities, sometimes I’m bitter or cranky like Asuka, Misty or Rukia, I’m also very clumsy and sensitive like Usagi, I also share some aspects with Asuka like the fact that I can be arrogant or proud like her, with Misty I feel very identified because her past is lot like mine, and the relationship with her sisters, I also love water and hate bugs for example haha. With every character I have some aspects which I feel identified with and also they have some characteristics I admire, like Usagi’s optimism and love for others.

11. What future cosplays are you planning?

Right now I want to finish my Mimi Tachikawa cosplay from Digimon 02, and re-do my Asuka school uniform.

12. What's your dream cosplay?

I’m proud to say that I’ve already achieved my dream cosplays, eternal sailor moon and asuka’s plugsuit! I need to find new dream cosplays.

13. Would you consider yourself as an Amateur or a Pro-cosplayer?

I’m an amateur because I don’t know how to make a lot of things yet and I need to learn how to sew properly, I tend to make things my own way.

14. Aside from cosplaying, what other things keep you busy in life?

Get Sailor Moon Cosplay Idea

My friends, my boyfriend and studying, I’ll graduate from university soon n_n

15. And aside from cosplay events/cons, do you dress up at home or out in the public?

Not really, I just cosplay when I have a con or a photoshoot!

16. Do you see yourself still cosplaying 5-10 years from now?

I’d love to, I can only hope that cosplay brings some new opportunities, if I have a chance to make a living from my vocation I’d be the happiest person in the world.

17. What advice can you share to your fellow cosplayers and cosplay virgins?

1. So, tell us something about yourself. And say Hi to your fans :)

Hi everyone!

2. How did you know about and get into Cosplaying?

I went to my first anime convention in 2004, and everyone looked amazing in cosplay. I wanted to be a part of that.

3. Can you share your first cosplay experience and what character did you portray? How long have you been cosplaying?

My fist costume was actually Itachi from Naruto. My grandma made the costume, while I just made the props and accessories. It was definitely a rush, and just interacting with everyone was really fun.

4. How long have you been cosplaying?

I 'started' in 2005, but that was mostly small props and things. I made my first full outfit in 2008.

5. What makes you want to cosplay?

The feeling you get after everything is put together, and you stare at the mirror and it's like, "Awesome".

6. Which character is your favorite one that you've cosplayed so far?

Get Avatar The Legend of Korra Amon Cosplay Idea-interview with thegadgetfish

Golbez (FFIV) is my favorite. He's just huge and badass.

7. Have you had the experience of a cosplay gone bad, or encoutered some problems while cosplaying? What are those?

I had a bad experience with my Amon cosplay, where the legplates broke during the morning of the con and I had nothing to fix it with. Luckily, I had a giant sticker in my pack, so I just ripped it up and somehow everything held together. Talk about stressful, though!

Which aspect of cosplay do you prefer: making garments, creating accessories, crafting props, makeup/prosthetics, etc?

Creating props, by far.

9. For your Amon cosplay, what preparations have you done?

Get Avatar The Legend of Korra Amon Cosplay Idea-interview with thegadgetfish

I suppose the same preparations as other cosplays, just stare at a lot of reference images, and sketch ideas/potential problems/etc in a notepad.

10. Do you observe some similarities in all the characters you've cosplayed? What similarities would it be if yes?

Most of them have my face covered!

11. What future cosplays are you planning?

I've been thinking about a Borderlands 2 Zero cosplay for about a year now. I've yet to actually work on it, though.

12. What's your dream cosplay?

Always wanted to make an Ironman suit!

13. Would you consider yourself as an Amateur or a Pro-cosplayer?

Amateur, definitely. I'm not nearly as productive as other cosplayers!

14. Aside from cosplaying, what other things keep you busy in life?

Get Avatar The Legend of Korra Amon Cosplay Idea-interview with thegadgetfish

I program games for a living, and snowboard all winter.

15. And aside from cosplay events/cons, do you dress up at home or out in the public?

Does halloween count?

16. Do you see yourself still cosplaying 5-10 years from now?

Yes, or at the very least, i'll continue making props. I had a year or 2 where I stopped cosplaying, and I definitely missed it.

17. What advice can you share to your fellow cosplayers and cosplay virgins?

Just do it! Don't give yourself any limits or restrictions. All projects can be broken down into small pieces, so just start working on something.

Get Fairy Tail Cosplay Idea-Interview with cosplayer Flaming-Goddess

Interview with cosplayer Flaming-Goddess -

Rachel a.k.a Flaming-Goddess is a cosplayer from Ohio, USA. She has cosplayed characters such as Mami Tomoe from Puella Magi Madoka Magica, Boa Hancock from One Piece and Sakura Haruno from Naruto. Rachel is famously known for her cosplay of Nami from One Piece which is jaw-dropping. We at ProCosplay loved her incredibly cute cosplay of Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail. Let's get to know more about her!

Biography :-

Name - Rachel
Place - Columbus, OH
DOB - April 27
Fav Anime - One Piece, Madoka Magica, Fairy Tail, Chuunibyo demo Koi ga Shitai!, Gurren Lagann, and Shinsekai Yori.

1. How about you introduce yourself to the readers first?

Flaming Goddess :-
Hey there! My name is Rachel (alias Flaming-Goddess), and I'm a cosplayer from the US. I'm studying to be an opera singer, but in my free-time I enjoy making costumes, watching anime, and hanging out with friends.

2. What got you into cosplaying and for how long have you been cosplaying?

Flaming Goddess :-
I've been cosplaying for 5 years. I started watching Naruto when I was in middle school, but it wasn't until 2008 that I heard about an anime convention in Columbus callled Ohayocon. My mom and I put together a Timeskip Sakura Haruno cosplay the night before the con, and after that I was hooked.

Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail

3. Why did you choose to cosplay Lucy Heartfilia?

Flaming Goddess :-
A friend of mine had been bugging me to read Fairy Tail for a while, so I finally broke down and read it. I immediately connected with Lucy (and her ridiculous faces), and her character design was adorable to boot. I also fell in love with the series, so I knew I had to cosplay her. I'm planing on doing a couple of other versions of her in the future as well.

4. Could you give the readers some tips on cosplaying Lucy Heartfilia?

Flaming Goddess :-
Have fun with it! Lucy is a great character to cosplay because she has so many emotions and poses to portray. I really suggest styling your own wig, because you often see the same couple wigs with Lucy cosplayers, and in my opinion they aren't quite right.

Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail

5. Did you face any difficulties in cosplaying Lucy Heartfilia?

Flaming Goddess :-
Styling the wig and finding a good pattern for her shirt was definitely a little difficult. Because she has a side ponytail, I had a tough time finding a wig that would be thick enough to style and not show wefts so I would have to use a clip-in. Her shirt also is a little unique with its collar and form-fitting nature, but eventually I ended up using stretchy cotton and it worked perfectly.

6. What according to you are the pros and cons of cosplaying?

Flaming Goddess :-
Cosplaying definitely helped me meet a bunch of new, awesome people and travel out of Ohio to different conventions, as well as gain new skills like sewing and prop-work that I definitely would not have had if I hadn't gotten the hobby. But, unfortunately there is a lot of drama that comes with the hobby, as well as judgment from people who don't know about cosplaying. But, I try not to let any of that affect me. Cosplaying is also a bit of a money suck, with all the wigs, fabric, shoes, etc. that you buy to make your costume perfect.

Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail

7. Where do you often go for your photoshoots? How do you choose the background for a photoshoot?

Flaming Goddess :-
I usually do photoshoots on location at conventions with various photographers, but sometimes I work with a photographer here in Columbus at his studio. When I go to cons, I always end up scouting various locations that I think would look cool in pictures, so that usually helps me decided where to take pictures.

8. How do you view yourself as a cosplayer?

Flaming Goddess :-
I'm definitely still a beginner in a lot of ways, since I really only started making new costumes 2 years ago, but I've grown in a lot of ways when it comes to sewing things of various difficulties and prop work. I'm hoping to continue getting better and make new costumes and props!

Lucy Heartfilia from Fairy Tail

9. Could you give some advice to the beginners out there?

Flaming Goddess :-
Don't be afraid to ask for help! My mom taught me how to sew and knew how to make so many things, and my dad knows more about wood working and building things than I ever will. They both have helped me so much with making my cosplays. Also, the Internet is your friend! There's a pretty good chance that the thing you're trying to make has a tutorial about it somewhere, and if there isn't, ask another cosplayer that you like how they did it. Cosplaying is all about fun, so choose something you'll enjoy making!

I am half Japanese and was born in Japan so I grew up with Japanese pop culture in my life. Future Diary Yuno Gasai Cosplay Costumes

3. Why did you choose to cosplay Yuno Gasai?

Meepygal :-
I really enjoyed the Mirai Nikki manga and decided to cosplay her when the anime was coming out.

4. Could you give the readers some tips on cosplaying Yuno Gasai?

Meepygal :-
Don't be afraid to get creative when you cosplay her. You can do a lot of action and fighting poses. I literally had used at least five different weapons props in multiple photoshoots & I loved portraying the crazy yandere side of her. Also make sure you get pink contacts that stand out, since her eyes are incredibly vibrant and expressive. I see a lot of Yuno cosplayers buying pink lenses that look too grey and I think it ruins the overall look and feel of the character.

Meepygal :-
If I like it, can afford it and have time to construct it.

8. Do you have any embarrassing cosplay moment that you'd like to share with us?

Meepygal :-
My most recent one was at Kumoricon this year. I was backstage during the cosplay contest and was giving out donuts to everyone in the room when I tripped over someones cosplay prop, went flying with all of the donuts and took a chair to the face like a champion.

Future Diary Yuno Gasai Cosplay Costumes

9. Could you give some advice to the beginners out there?

Meepygal :-
Remember this is a hobby HAVE FUN. If you want to have amazing costumes its going to take a while for you to build the skills and knowledge that a lot of us veterans have. Practice and research is key; don't be afraid to make new things no matter how bad they look. Don't be afraid to make friends with other cosplayers, and ask for questions or help! When I first started sewing on my own my costumes were definitely not quality work.

First of all I pick up a costume and watch carefully the scenery of the anime or doujinshi. Then I recollect places of our town suitable for the photo-shoot. It's easy to shoot outside because Russia is rich in forests. As for the interiors  studios and cafes of our town are always ready to help!

Shua :-
Cosplay-world is a part of my everyday world. It is  very important for me. I think cosplay comprises a lot of branches, such as crafting, filming, acting and sometimes singing. I need to share my ideas with anime-lovers, find another way of showing a character's nature. I like to feel excited before entering the stage, feel the audience's agreement.

Interview with cosplayer SnowChild -

ciel dress

SnowChild is a cosplayer from Sweden. She is a member of the cosplay group called Farbror Esters Pojkar (Uncle Esters Boys). She has cosplayed Roxas from Kingdom Hearts. We at ProCosplay were fascinated by her outstandingly brilliant cosplay of Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji. SnowChild was kind enough to share with us some info about her. Read on to find out more!

Biography :

Name - Stephanie Strand
Place - Sweden
DOB - 4:th december 1990
Fav Anime - No one in particular for the moment.

1. How about you introduce yourself to the readers first?

SnowChild :-
Hello. I am a cosplayer from Sweden who has been cosplying for about 3 years. I like horses, video-games and ofc manga and anime and spend most of my freetime drawing ,watching wired documentaries on YouTube and hanging out with friends and girlfriend.

2. When did you realise your love for cosplaying and for how long have you been cosplaying?

SnowChild :-
I have always loved to dress up and my parents always encouraged creativity. We often made Halloween and mascerade costumes together. As I first heard about cosplay and saw picture of that online was I sure of that this something I wanted to do.

3. Why did you choose to cosplay Ciel Phantomhive?

SnowChild :-
I wanted to cosplay him even before I knew his name or the title the manga. The Victorian, luxury and detailed design of his clothes are really beautiful and I wanted a challenge. However, I felt that I couldn't cosplay a character I didn't know and decided to read the manga. and it didn't take make chapters for to fall in love with the little bastard and the dark storyline. ^^

4. Could you give the readers some tips on cosplaying Ciel Phantomhive?

SnowChild :-
Spend time on your make up.
Ciel is supposed to be really pretty almost doll-like.
My tip is to use Circle lenses who are at least 17mm big, it will not only make your eye look bigger, it will also make you look younger and more childlike. Fake lashes are a must, the dollier and thicker they are the better, however make sure to glue them onto your eyelid in a way that makes them point less upwards and more outward. Ciel's eyelashes aren't that prominent when he is facing someone but they are very visible when he looks down or in profile.
To fasten your fake lashes like that will also archive a kind of arrogant and dramatic look.
Don't forget to add a darker eyeshadow in your eyelid crease to frame the eyes even more and to create the illusion of bigger eyelids. If you don't have a double eyelid, just create an optical eyelid with lighter and darker eyeshadows.
My last tips for the make up is to couture your face, make your nose and chin smaller by darkening and highlighting.

5. What do you think about the cosplay scene in your country, Sweden?

SnowChild :-
I like the cosplay scene in Sweden but I think it's too small. It doesn't take too long time before almost everyone somehow knows everyone but it's very cozy. :)

6. What is your dream cosplay?

SnowChild :-
My absolute dream cosplay is a Big Sister from Bioshock 2. I think they are really interesting and it would be a real challenge to make such a costume. I will begin to work on it as soon as possible, I just need to figure out how I should be able to breath in it.

7. What is the most difficult cosplay challenge you've faced so far? How did you pull it off?

SnowChild :-
I believe my most difficult cosplay challenge yet was to begin to make my own costumes because I have never sewn anything before, at bleats not clothes. I decided to look at clothes and see how they were sewn together to understand how fabric and thread worked together. I began to sew and learned more and more with every cosplay I made.

8. In what way has cosplay changed your life?

SnowChild :-
I have more friends then what I have had in my entire life. Also, I have gained more confidence and believe much more in myself.

9. Can you give some advice to the beginners out there?

SnowChild :-
People cosplay for different reasons, some do it just for fun and other do it because they want a challenge and want to give the illusion of brining the character to life.
No matter if your cosplay is really simple or not, it's important to make it look complete from head to toe. Make sure to have the right shoes for the cosplay and use a wig even if you have the same haircolor as the character. The same goes for the eyes: Use colored contact lenses, even if you happen to have the same eyecolor as the character. It will much better on pictures and give a complete look. :)
Also, cosplay is supposed to be fun. Don't choose a character you feel nothing for but who you think will give you attention. Choose a character that you really love because those cosplays will always become your best. :)

Highschool Of The Dead Cosplay Costumes

Meet Sushi Monster, a cosplayer and hairdresser from California! Kneesocks from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Serah from Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Winry from Full Metal Alchemist are some examples of the vast number of characters that she has cosplayed. We at ProCosplay were fascinated by her incredibly sexy cosplay of Rei Miyamoto from Highschool of the Dead. Sushi Monster was kind enough to share with us some info about her. Read on to find out more!

Biography :

Name:Sushi Monster
Place:Orange County, CA
DOB:January 4
Fav anime:Not anime, but I am obsessed with The Legend of Korra!

1. Could you introduce yourself to the readers first?

Sushi Monster :-
I'm a veteran cosplayer from California who also loves fashion, hair and makeup! I like to cosplay and hang out with friends on my free time and do fashion shoots and hair in my work time.

2. What got you into cosplaying and for how long have you been cosplaying?

Sushi Monster :-
I have been cosplaying since summer 2005, so it's been 7 years now. I got into cosplaying when I was in high school and my friend wanted me to go to an anime con with her. I heard people dressed up, so I made an original ninja costume and went. I was amazed and overwhelmed by all the awesome cosplayers I was seeing, and ever since then I was been sucked in.

Highschool Of The Dead Cosplay Costumes

3. Why did you choose to cosplay Rei Miyamoto?

Sushi Monster :-
I love the show Highschool of the Dead and wanted to cosplay from it. I originally wanted to do Saeko but decided in the end to portray Rei and make her look more fierce and confident than in the show. I also always wanted to do a shoot where I could fight off zombies!

4. Could you give the readers some tips on cosplaying Rei Miyamoto?

Sushi Monster :-
Don't be afraid to show some skin and be a bit perverted! You are cosplaying from a super fanservice show drawn by a hentai artist, so it's ok to do fanservicey shots. You can do a lot of action and fighting poses too, since the show is about fighting zombies. Also when looking for a wig, her hair isn't blonde ?it's more of an orangey brown tone. And don't  forget her hair antenna! It is a major detail of the character Rei herself. Confidence is key!

Highschool Of The Dead Cosplay Costumes

5. Did you face any difficulties in cosplaying Rei Miyamoto?

Sushi Monster :-
I didn't really face any difficulties other than figuring out the ahoge/hair antenna on her wig. She was one of my easier cosplays to do!

6. What according to you are the pros and cons of cosplaying?

Sushi Monster :-
Pros:
If you make your costumes, you gain tons of skills, such as wig styling, sewing, prop construction, just creative ways to make things in general. You get to make yourself look totally different and to portray your favorite characters. You also meet a lot of people at cons with the same interests and can make a lot of lifetime friendships. Sometimes you may even find love! You have a nerdy group of friends you can freely fangirl with haha! You also get recognition from other talented artisans and fans of series if you do a good job on a costume!
Cons: It's a pretty expensive and time consuming hobby. Materials to make or buy costumes add up, and if you attend conventions, it's l cost even more! It can get really stressful days before the con when you are crunching to get costumes done by a deadline. A lot of people, especially on the internet, are very harsh and cruel and may make mean, horrible comments, but you are putting yourself out there so you kind of just have to take it along with the good. People also tend to become pretty cliquish or elitist over this nerdy hobby so that is another con.

7. Do you see yourself cosplaying in 10 years?

Sushi Monster :-
Of course! I see myself being an old grandma and still cosplaying. Of course as I age I'm l pick more character and body appropriate cosplays, but there is always all sorts of characters I want to play dress up in, even if it's not anime or video game related. Cosplaying and cons are a huge part of my life so I can see myself still attending cons and cosplaying for the rest of my life, even if it's only once a year.

8. How do you view yourself as a cosplayer?

Sushi Monster :-
I view myself as someone who just likes to do it for fun and for friends. I do costume construction pretty seriously because Iam a perfectionist but my actual attitude about it is pretty laid back and that we should just do it as a hobby and to have fun with it.

Best Highschool Of The Dead Cosplay Costumes

9. Any piece of advice for the cosplay virgins out there?

Sushi Monster :-
Remember that this hobby is for FUN! If you are not having fun and stressing out too much, you are not doing it right. Don't be afraid to ask questions, however, there is a good chance that there is some sort of guide to what you are cosplaying out there already, so do your research first! Google, Deviantart and Cosplay.com forums are a great help. You can ask for advice, but don't expect people to give you step by step or to just outright give you their patterns and techniques. Also, if you want to make something, break the costume down as much as possible into little pieces. It's a lot easier to figure it out when you break it down into parts. Also, a must is hair and makeup! A costume isn't  truly complete when you don't have a wig or at least some light makeup on. You can use your real hair but a wig tends to look better.

Kingdom Hearts Sora Cosplay Costume

Akane is a cosplayer from Germany. She is a member of Animexx. She has cosplayed characters such as Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji and Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII. Akane has been well known for her Sora cosplays which are outstanding and breathtaking. Let's get to know more about her!

Biography :-

Name - Christine, but all of my friends and even my sister call me Akane
Location - Munich / Germany
DOB - May 4th 1983
Fav Anime - Oh, I'm nostalgic so I'm say Ranma 1/2.

1. Could you please introduce yourself to the readers?

Akane :-
Hi, my name is Akane :)
I hope everyone of you is well and happy <3

2. How did you get into cosplaying and for how long have you been cosplaying?

Akane :-
In 1999 I met a huge anime fan group in a manga store in munich during a shopping trip. I already knew what cosplay was, but I was never done it before. They told me that they meet up once a month and it sounded like so much fun, that I wanted to do it as well ^^ And as you can see, I did. And the group I was meeting back then turned out to be the Anime Musical group Tsuki no Senshi (I'm a member there since 2000) and the german biggest anime society "Animexx"

Kingdom Hearts Sora Cosplay Costume

3. Why did you choose to cosplay Sora?

Akane :-
It all began, that TnS planned to do a little Kingdom Hearts musical. At first I should played Kairi, but our Sora stepped out of TnS. Obviously we needed a new Sora and no one wanted to do him because of the huge shoes and the hair XD Because Sora is more needed for Kh than kairi, they told me I had to play him XD I was never played KH before but I knew it was a leading role, so I bought the game and totally fell in love with him <3 It was the best thing that could be happen to me ^__^ And now I can't stop doing more pictures and outfits. He really got my heart

4. Did you face any difficulties in cosplaying Sora?

Akane :-
At first, yes. A friend of mine knowing as Fujimiyaran (DA) made my wigs, because I was such a wig noob. And I had big troubles with the shoes, the keychain and the shoulder armor. But after a few cosplays I knew how it works best for me and I finally learned how to style wigs ^^v

Kingdom Hearts Sora Cosplay Costume

5. Can you give the readers some tips on cosplaying Sora?

Akane :-
Hm, it's hard for me to describe things in english and without knowing what kind of problems people have with the outfits. So I'm l give tips for things people most often ask me for: Use 3 fabric parts for the shoe covers, not 2. For the shoulder armor I uses pipes and before you start styling your wig, sew another wig into it to make it thicker. This way, you can prevent "holes" in the hairstyle. I use a tail comb, a blending scissors and normal hairspray for it And the most important tip is : Have fun <3 <3 <3

6. How do you decide what character to cosplay?

Akane :-
There are 2 options: I totally love the character *_* Or one of my friends or Franka asks me to cosplay it with her/him. I don't do cosplays because the anime/game is popular. Cosplay should be fun and not a popularity contest

Kingdom Hearts Sora Cosplay Costume

7. What has been your most exciting/memorable cosplay experience to date?

Akane :-
Hm... that's very difficult... I was got so many great memories <3 I think one is the reaction of the people and my friends when I first cosplayed Sora and the second when Franka cospalyed for the first time with me ^__^~

8. Why do you cosplay? Everyone has a reason, what is yours?

Akane :-
Because it's so much fun and I can be a character for a short time. Sometimes you can forget the reality a bit and be a part of the Anime/Game you like so much. Especially when you  are part of an musical group like TnS. One of my most favourits moments ever was being sora on stage. I really miss it and I don't  keep it as a special memory in my heart
